🎯 Selective Color Replacement
If you have the same color in different positions (like a logo with two red circles), you can choose exactly which one to replace:
- Click the region directly in the BEFORE image.
- This selects only that specific connected area.
- Set your Target Color and click Replace Color.
🎨 Recolor Modes — when to use which
| Mode |
Pick this when… |
Example |
| Replace |
Flat / vector logos with solid colors. Hard-replaces every matching pixel with the exact target hex. Cleanest, most predictable. |
2-color icon, brand wordmarks, sticker-style art |
| Shading |
3-D / shaded / glossy logos. Shifts the hue but keeps the original highlights, shadows and gradients in place. |
Chrome 3-D letters, glossy buttons, beveled badges |
| Lightness |
Photographic or textured artwork. Preserves relative brightness across the region so contrast doesn't flatten. |
Lipstick photo, fabric texture, painted strokes |
💡 Not sure? Start with Replace. If the result looks too flat or loses depth, switch to Shading. For photos, Lightness usually wins.
